On September 1, PetroChina, a holding company of CNPC, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Huaneng Power International, which is one of the largest listed power producers in China ((0902.HK) (HNP.N) (600011.SS), with attributable installed capacity of 37,593MW.
According to the agreement, PetroChina and Huaneng Power International will join hands in gas generation projects, long-term client development, natural gas peak shaving and growth of clean energy generating capacity. The two sides will proactively cooperate in overseas countries including Singapore, and agreed to negotiate and coordinate on a regular basis to seek for better cooperation measures in broader fields.
